Online Casino Games at Stake for UK Players

The lobby stretches beyond 6,000 titles and takes in more formats than most casinos manage, several of which you will struggle to find anywhere else:

CategoryWhat it holds
SlotsClassic reels, Megaways, cascading reels, bonus buy and jackpot titles
Stake OriginalsProvably fair in-house games such as Mines, Dice, Limbo and Plinko
Only on StakeExclusive releases made with partner studios on the Stake Engine
Burst gamesQuick instant-win rounds that do away with fixed paylines
Live casino150+ streamed tables and game shows
Table gamesBlackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and scratch cards
PokerA real-money multiplayer room with cash games and tournaments
SportsbookPre-match, in-play and novelty markets on a single balance

Slots

Slots draw the heaviest traffic on the site, supplied by 260+ publishers. Household names such as Hacksaw, Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City and Massive Studios share the shelf with smaller outfits like Backseat Gaming, Uppercut Gaming and Twist Gaming. Sweet Bonanza 2500, Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sugar Rush 1000 are among the most played, while Hacksaw’s Le Bandit, Le Cowboy and Le Viking form a linked series with mechanics in common.

Four slot formats dominate, and they behave differently enough to be worth setting side by side:

TypeWays to winHow it playsRTP
Classic video slots1 to 1,000+ paylinesThe nearest thing to a traditional machine94% to 97%
MegawaysUp to 117,649Reel modifiers shift the symbol count on every spinFrom 96%
Cascading reelsCluster or scatter paysWinning symbols vanish and fresh ones drop inVaries by game
Jackpot slotsFixed or progressiveFixed prizes sit between 1,000x and 10,000x; progressives build into the millionsVaries by game

Themes have pages of their own, so ancient Egypt, fantasy, fruit, retro, animals and Far East releases can be browsed as collections instead of hunted down one at a time.

Table Games

Blackjack, roulette and baccarat each come in three forms: RNG tables, Stake Originals versions and live dealer streams. On the numbers, Stake Original Blackjack leads the way – a house edge of 0.57%, which amounts to a 99.43% return to player.

Roulette divides into three rule sets, and the gap between them counts for more than the layout lets on:

VariantZeroesHouse edge
FrenchSingle zero, with La Partage or En Prison1.35%
EuropeanSingle zero2.70%
AmericanSingle and double zero5.26%

Baccarat runs to the Stake Original version, live tables and Lightning Baccarat. Hilo, Diamonds and video poker make up the remainder of the section.

Burst Games

Burst games sit somewhere between casino mechanics and video game design. Reels and set paylines are gone; every round is assembled from scratch on the Stake Engine. Keno, crash titles, chicken games and Mines all belong here, together with Pragmatic Plinko+, Aviamasters, MineDrop, Pachinko Planet and Drop the Boss. Plenty appear in early access before launching anywhere else, and each one can be sampled in Fun Play first.

Poker

Stake Poker pits you against other players rather than the house. Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Pineapple and All-in or Fold run across cash games, tournaments and the fast-fold Next! format, with knockout and mystery bounty events on the tournament schedule. Two standing jackpots sit above all of it: $500,000 on All in or Fold and $1,000,000 on Bad Beat. Poker Live by Evolution, Stake Rummy and Gates of Bellatro: Hold’em complete the card section.

Stake Originals and Only on Stake

Two collections belong to the site alone, and between them they account for a sizeable share of everything played.

Stake Originals

Built by the in-house studio, Stake Originals have been on the site since 2017. Simplicity is the point: choose your bet, choose a difficulty, watch the outcome. Mines reworks Minesweeper, Plinko sends a ball through pegs onto a multiplier, Limbo and Crash ask you to cash out before the figure stops climbing, and Dragon Tower, Snakes, Hilo, Flip, Darts and Rock Paper Scissors follow the same quick-round logic. Slide carries the longest odds anywhere on the site, topping out in the billions.

The range takes in slots too – Tome of Life, Scarab Spin and Blue Samurai – plus original blackjack, roulette, baccarat, keno and video poker. Chicken, Tarot, Drill and Moles are among the newer arrivals. Many titles let you set the volatility yourself, which shifts how often the payouts land and how large they run.

Provably Fair Gaming

Provable fairness applies to every Stake Original. Rather than taking a random number generator on trust, you can check each round for yourself: results are verified on site and through an independent tool, then stored with cryptographic hashing. Each game has a fairness button that reveals the seeds behind your results.

Only on Stake

Only on Stake titles are produced with partner studios on the Stake Engine, the site’s own remote gaming server, which is why they turn up nowhere else. Pragmatic Play contributes the biggest batch, Sweet Fiesta 1000, Sugar Twist Enhanced RTP, Jewel Bonanza and Koi Pond among them. Other exclusives worth knowing about:

Several of these appear as Enhanced RTP editions, which return more than the standard release of the same game. Lucky Phoenix Megaways and Gates of Heaven both come in that form.

Live Casino and Game Shows

The live section carries more than 150 titles from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live and Animo Studios, streamed in HD from studio floors with dealers at the table. Beyond blackjack, roulette and baccarat sit Dragon Tiger, Sic Bo and rarer formats such as Stock Market Live, Red Door Roulette and Gates of Crazy Pachinko.

Live Tables

Blackjack spans Infinite Blackjack for crowded tables, Speed Blackjack for short rounds, Free Bet and Power Blackjack for rule variations, and VIP tables with raised limits. Roulette takes in classic wheels alongside Lightning Roulette and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, where random numbers are struck with multipliers starting at 500x. Baccarat, Speed Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Three Card Poker account for the rest.

First Person Games

First Person titles are RNG versions of the live games, made by Evolution with matching interfaces and features. They make a sensible starting point: play at your own speed, get to know the table, then move across to the live version from the same screen. First Person Roulette, First Person Baccarat and First Person Lightning Roulette are the principal ones.

Game Shows

Game shows trade the standard table for a host, a wheel and bonus rounds. Wins land less often than at classic tables and the RTP is lower, but the multipliers reach much further. The main titles differ like this:

Game showWhat sets it apartHow it pays
Crazy TimeFour distinct bonus roundsHighly volatile, with very large wins
Monopoly LiveA 3D board with property multipliersRewards chained through 2 and 4 Rolls
Lightning RouletteRandomly drawn lightning numbersRoulette payouts boosted
Lightning StormHeavily stacked multipliersHigh risk, high reward
Ice FishingThemed live playSteadier, mid-sized payouts

Crazy Time is where most people begin. Its four bonus games are Coin Flip, which flips two multiplier coins; Cash Hunt, a shooting gallery of concealed multipliers; Pachinko, a puck dropped through pegs; and the Crazy Time Wheel itself, which climbs to 10,000x. Multipliers stack on the base bet, so a single round can return as much as 20,000x. Funky Time, Deal or No Deal, Mega Wheel, Mega Ball and Sweet Bonanza Candyland work along similar lines.

Software Studios

The slot library alone draws on more than 260 studios. Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City and Play’n GO are behind a large share of the best-known titles, with Push Gaming, Relax Gaming, Games Global, BGaming, Novomatic, Endorphina, Belatra, Spribe, 3 Oaks and Gamzix making up much of the rest. Evolution handles most of the live floor, supported by Pragmatic Play Live and Animo Studios.

A second set of studios builds solely for the platform on the Stake Engine, which explains why their games surface nowhere else:

Notable releases from that camp include Air Strike, Mine Drop, Tavern Drop, Bank Basher, Lucky Man’s Chamber and Sweet Side. A good many of the studios on the site also hold Malta Gaming Authority licences, which impose their own testing requirements on top of the platform’s.

Sports Betting at Stake for UK Players

The sportsbook fields more than 100,000 bets a day and shares a balance with the casino. Odds can be shown in decimal, fractional or American format, and selected events carry free live streaming for anyone signed in.

Bet Types

Live Betting and Streaming

In-play markets shift as the event unfolds, and a cash out button in the bet slip lets you settle early instead of seeing a bet through to the end. Football adds markets that exist only in play, among them next goal, next goalscorer, corners, cards and minute-by-minute intervals. Stake Shield protects multiples: it can still return a payout when one leg of your bet comes up short. A bet tracker keeps your open selections in view as they run.

Free streams take in football competitions such as the Bundesliga, Copa del Rey, the Portuguese league, the English Championship and European club qualifiers, along with tennis, MMA, basketball and esports. Simulated reality leagues give you something to bet on when the real fixture list runs dry.

Worth knowing if the VIP Club matters to you: sports wagering carries you through the tiers three times faster than casino play.

How UK Players Start Playing at Stake

Nothing needs downloading and the sign-up form is short. Here is each step in order.

How to Sign Up

  1. Select the Sign Up button at the top of the page.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Pick a username – this is the name other players see at poker tables and in chat.
  4. Set a password.
  5. Accept the terms and confirm that you are 18 or over.

How to Log In

  1. Select the login option in the site header.
  2. Enter your username or email address together with your password.
  3. Complete any second-factor prompt set on your account.

Passkeys are supported if you would sooner do without passwords altogether, and they are the quicker option on a phone.

How to Make a Deposit

  1. Open the wallet and select Deposit.
  2. Choose your currency – a cryptocurrency or one of the supported local currencies.
  3. Copy the deposit address shown for that coin.
  4. Send the funds to that address from your own wallet or exchange.
  5. If you hold no crypto yet, buy some through a service such as Moonpay or Swapped, or use Swap Connect or Mesh to move funds across in a single step.

Swap Crypto is built into the wallet, so one coin can be exchanged for another without leaving the site.

How to Withdraw

  1. Open the wallet and select Withdraw.
  2. Choose the currency you want to be paid in.
  3. Paste in the destination address.
  4. Enter the amount, at or above that coin’s minimum.
  5. Confirm the request.

Fun Play and Real Play

A demo version exists for most casino games. Move the on-screen toggle from Real Play to Fun Play and the game costs you nothing, which is a sensible way to get the measure of a burst game or an unfamiliar slot before betting. Nothing won in Fun Play is real, and games open in Real Play by default, so check the toggle before your first spin.

Promotions and Bonuses

There is no traditional matched welcome bonus at Stake. The value sits instead in recurring prize pools and in the VIP Club, which pays out on an ongoing basis rather than once at sign-up. More than $1 billion has been handed out in bonuses across the site.

Daily Races

Every 24 hours a $100,000 prize pool is shared out among the players sitting highest on the leaderboard. Position comes down to wagering, so steady play counts for more than one large bet.

Weekly Raffle

$75,000 is drawn each week. Each $1,000 wagered earns a ticket, and tickets accumulate, so more play means more entries rather than better odds on a single one.

Challenges and Tournaments

A rotating slate of events sits alongside the fixed promotions: Conquer the Casino with a $75,000 pool, Stake Wheel Wars at $150,000 a month, Stake vs Eddie at $50,000, Multiplier Mania and a steady run of casino, slots and sports challenges. Forum challenges add smaller pools, typically a few thousand dollars, for landing the highest multiplier on a named game.

Sports Offers

The sportsbook keeps promotions of its own, most of them tied to particular fixtures: odds boosts on selected teams and tournaments, a horse racing money-back special when your runner finishes second to fifth, UFC split decision insurance, an MLB ninth-innings refund and early payout offers on the major football leagues.

Monthly Bonuses and Reloads

Monthly bonuses go out around the fifteenth of each month and are worked out from your recent play. Reloads are separate and more frequent – a top-up you can set to a daily or hourly interval and claim from the VIP tab in your account.

The Stake VIP Club and Rakeback

Entry to the VIP Club comes through wagering, not invitation. Once total wagering reaches $10,000 the account lands in Bronze, and rakeback starts from that moment. Rakeback hands back a percentage of the house edge on every bet you place, winning or losing, and that percentage rises with your tier.

TierWageringWhat it brings
Bronze$10,000Rakeback, weekly and monthly bonuses, level-up bonuses
Silver$50,000Larger bonuses on top of the Bronze set
Gold$100,000Bigger weekly and monthly bonuses
Platinum I$250,000Daily bonuses and reloads
Platinum II$500,000Bonuses continue to grow
Platinum III$1,000,000Bonuses continue to grow
Platinum IV$2,500,000A dedicated VIP host and renewable reloads
Platinum V to VIUp to $25,000,000Host bonuses and bespoke benefits
Diamond I to V$25,000,000+The complete benefit set

What the Tiers Pay

Four things run right through the programme. Rakeback never stops. Level-up bonuses are fixed payments that grow each time you cross into a new tier. Weekly and monthly bonuses are calculated from your play over that period, with more added for every $1,000 wagered. Reloads are top-ups you claim yourself from the VIP tab.

Bonuses take account of both wagering and profit, so a losing run will not shut you out – an unlucky spell tends to add to the amount rather than reduce it.

VIP Hosts

A dedicated host arrives at Platinum IV. The host renews your weekly reloads, steers your progression, reviews sports limits and arranges extra bonuses where they can be had. That runs alongside live support, which deals with technical problems for every player whatever their tier.

Tracking progress is simple enough: your account page carries a progress bar showing the percentage still to go before the next tier. Sports betting moves you three times faster than casino play, so the same tier takes a third of the wagering if you bet on sport.

Payment Options

Deposits and Withdrawals

Stake is built around cryptocurrency but handles local currency as well, and you can keep both. The wallet takes BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, DOGE, SOL, TRX and EOS among others, while the local currency options run to CAD, BRL, JPY, INR, TRY, ARS, CLP, MXN, PEN, VND, PHP and NGN. Your balance can be shown in whichever currency you prefer, whatever you deposited.

Limits and Fees

Cryptocurrency payments carry no minimum or maximum, and nothing caps how much you can withdraw. What each coin does set is a minimum withdrawal and a network fee:

CoinMinimum withdrawalFee
BTC0.000025040.00001571
ETH0.000626100.00067447
LTC0.018573290.00013800
USDT2.500000001.00000000
DOGE5.499259700.52151198
EOS1.876445940.10788480
TRX7.824089130.07336170

Local currency methods can impose limits of their own, and these vary from one option to the next.

Buying and Swapping Crypto

If crypto is new to you, Moonpay and Swapped will sell it for a card payment and send it straight through. Swap Connect and Mesh tie an existing exchange account to the wallet, which cuts out the copy-and-paste address step. Swap Crypto operates inside the wallet itself, exchanging one coin for another with no third party involved.

The Stake Vault

The Vault is separate storage for money you are not currently playing with. It sits behind two-factor authentication, holds several cryptocurrencies and local currencies at the same time, and stays open to you whenever you want it. The point of it is straightforward: funds in the Vault are beyond the reach of an impulsive bet, and beyond the reach of anyone who gets into your session.

Stake on Mobile

No native iOS or Android app exists. The site works as a progressive web app built on HTML5 instead, so everything loads in your mobile browser with nothing to install from a store and nothing to update.

Adding it to your home screen gets you as close to an app as you will get: open the site in your browser, choose Add to Home Screen, and the shortcut opens full-screen straight into the lobby. From there you can log in, deposit, play casino games and place bets just as you would on a desktop.

Live dealer tables, burst games and Stake Originals are all designed for touch, and live sports streams play on phones and tablets with the same resolution controls as the desktop player.

Security and Responsible Play

Stake is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V. and licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. That licence sets standards for fairness and security and calls for regular testing of the site’s systems, the random number generator included. Many of the studios supplying games hold Malta Gaming Authority licences alongside it.

In-house, provably fair technology means results are not a matter of trust. Outcomes are recorded and hashed, and the fairness button inside each Stake Original reveals the seeds behind your own rounds.

Responsible Gambling Tools

The Stake Smart section gathers the controls you can switch on from your account:

A monthly budget calculator and a self-assessment tool sit next to them, and support can close an account or apply a longer exclusion if you ask. Accounts are open to players aged 18 and over. If gambling stops being entertainment, Gambling Therapy provides free and confidential help.

Customer Support

Live chat is staffed around the clock and covers everything from deposits and account access to problems with a game. The higher VIP tiers add a personal host on top, though that sits alongside live support rather than taking its place.

Common Questions

Does Stake hold a licence?

Yes. Stake is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V. and licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. The site has been running since 2017 and now serves more than 100 million players a month.

Can Stake be used everywhere?

No. Access depends on where you are, and a number of jurisdictions are shut out of the platform altogether. Local gambling rules apply in every case, so it is worth finding out what they are before you sign up.

How do UK players join the Stake VIP Club?

Sign up and start playing. Once total wagering reaches $10,000 the account moves into the Bronze tier automatically, and rakeback begins there. The tiers continue upwards through Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.

What is rakeback at Stake?

Rakeback returns a share of the house edge on every bet you place, whether it wins or loses. It unlocks at Bronze, and the percentage climbs as you work your way up the VIP tiers.

Are there minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts?

Cryptocurrency payments have no minimum or maximum deposit, and withdrawals are uncapped. Every coin does set its own minimum withdrawal and network fee – 2.5 USDT or 0.00002504 BTC, for instance. Local currency methods can carry limits of their own.

What are Stake Originals?

Stake Originals are games made by the in-house studio and found nowhere else. The range covers Mines, Dice, Limbo, Plinko, Crash, Dragon Tower and Hilo, plus original slots and table games. Every one of them is provably fair.

What does provably fair mean?

It means each round can be verified rather than the random number generator simply being trusted. Outcomes are checked on site and through an independent tool, then stored with cryptographic hashing. The fairness button inside each game shows the seeds behind your results.

Can UK players try Stake games for free?

Most casino games come with a demo. Move the on-screen toggle from Real Play to Fun Play and you can try the game without spending anything. Nothing won in Fun Play is real money, and games open in Real Play by default.

Is there a Stake app for UK players?

There is no native iOS or Android app. The site runs as a progressive web app in your mobile browser, and adding it to your home screen gives you a full-screen shortcut that behaves much like one.

What is the Stake Vault?

The Vault is separate storage for funds you are not playing with. It keeps several cryptocurrencies and local currencies behind two-factor authentication, and you can move money in and out whenever you like.

What Players Say

4.8/5

From 10 player reviews of Stake

Cashed out in LTC on a Sunday evening and it cleared in minutes. No forms, no waiting on some review team – paste the address and that was that.

The Originals are what keep me coming back. Mines and Dragon Tower are simple enough to play with half an eye on the telly, and being able to check the seeds afterwards is a nice touch.

Rakeback mounts up nicely once you reach Bronze. My one gripe is that $10k of wagering is a fair slog before anything unlocks, so those first few weeks feel a bit empty.

Crazy Time and the Lightning tables run without a stutter, even on hotel wifi. The dealers are professional and the stream quality beats most sites I have used.

Free streaming on the sportsbook is why I switched over. Having the match in the same tab as the bet slip takes a lot of the guesswork out of in-play betting.

Enormous slot library and the exclusives genuinely are different. The downside is the lack of a proper app – you are stuck with the browser shortcut, which now and then logs me out.

The poker room is busier than I expected from a casino site. Plenty of Hold’em cash tables going, and the fast-fold format suits me when I have only twenty minutes.

The Vault is underrated. Anything I am not playing with goes straight in there, and it stops me tilting away a decent session at two in the morning.

Daily Races are worth chasing if you are on most days, though the leaderboard is competitive and you need serious volume to place. Weekly raffle tickets come far easier.

Chat support came back within a minute when a deposit failed to show. It turned out to be a network issue and they traced it without me having to chase them.
